Work Hive is on the move to a Bigger and Better Space in Downtown Salt Lake City!

Big things are happening at Work Hive! We’re thrilled to announce that we’re planning a move to a brand-new location right in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. This move is more than just a change of address—it’s a step forward in providing small businesses and entrepreneurs with an upgraded work experience, more amenities, and an even better environment to grow their businesses and career. Our new location will be at 56 East Broadway, just a short five-minute walk from our current location, and right in the heart of downtown. We plan to close our current downtown location and move all of our current members to the new location sometime in Spring 2025.

A Historic Location with a Modern Twist

We’re especially excited to announce that our new home will be a thoughtfully renovated historic building with a rich past. Originally the Mission Theater, this space once hosted incredible vaudeville performances that entertained the city’s residents for years and was one of the earliest movie theaters in downtown Salt Lake City. Later, it became home to the famous Keith-O'Brien department store, a beloved shopping destination in Salt Lake City. Now, with thoughtful renovations, this landmark is being transformed into an affordable and comfortable coworking space that blends historic charm with modern functionality. By moving into this iconic location, we’re not just growing—we’re also helping to preserve a part of the downtown's vibrant history as the cultural center of the city and region.

 

 Why the Move?

We’ve loved our current location in the Broadway Lofts building, where we've been located since 2019, but we know that as our community continues to grow, so should our space. This new location is designed to better serve our members by providing more comfort, functionality, and opportunities for collaboration. Whether you're a freelancer, startup, or an established business, we want to create the best possible environment to help you thrive.

 Frequently asked questions

Our new location will be at 56 East Broadway, just a short five-minute walk from our current location, and right in the heart of downtown.

The new building needs a bit of updating and renovation work. We anticipate moving into the new space in early May 2025.

Yes! We will have plenty of parking available for members and clients at the large parking structure directly west of the new building.

We plan to relocate all of our downtown operations from our current location to the new location. The Sugar House location will continue to operate as it currently operates.

Current members will continue to pay the same membership rate they are currently paying.

Yes! We will make an announcement when 'hard hat' tours are available for the new space.
